Andy Allen is a seasoned expert in software design and creative direction, currently serving as an Advisor/Investor at Visual Electric and Founder & CEO of Not Boring Software Ltd., a company focused on creating playful apps. As the Founder and Managing Director of Short of the Week since 2007, Andy has fostered a platform that promotes emerging filmmakers to over one million subscribers. An adjunct professor at the University of Washington, Andy teaches Software Design and has previously held positions including Head of Product & Design at WeTransfer and Co-Founder & Head of Design at FiftyThree, where notable products such as the Paper app were developed. Notable achievements include the Apple Design Award and a background in interaction design at Microsoft and Ziba Design, along with directorial experience in film. Andy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington.
