The marketing and communications team develops and executes integrated marketing programs that promote the Washington, DC brand domestically and internationally, inspire overnight business and leisure visitation to the District and create demand for meetings and conventions.

This team collaborates with national and international clients to secure events and meetings, providing exceptional service and support throughout the planning process. They build relationships with key stakeholders, promote the city as a prime destination, and work to enhance the visitor experience through effective sales strategies and excellent customer service.

This dynamic team collaborates on creative content, digital marketing initiatives, and impactful graphic design to engage visitors, enhance brand visibility, and drive tourism to the nation's capital.

The tourism, sports and visitors services team is committed to increasing domestic and international leisure travel, reaching the adult, student, LGBTQ and sports markets and beyond. 

Tourism, Sports & Visitor Services

The P&A team provides member businesses with ways to get involved in Destination DC's sales and marketing programs, plus tactical steps to leverage their membership and reach customers. This team is also responsible for generating non-hotel tax revenue from members, sponsors and creative relationships to support Destination DC's efforts to promote tourism to Washington, DC.
