Scott Virshup currently serves as the Director of Data and Analytics at Visit California, a position held since May 2024. Prior to this role, Scott spent over five years at Inspire, advancing from Analytics Manager to Director of Analytics, where responsibilities included leading strategic analytics projects and acting as a primary subject matter expert. Experience also includes a ten-month analytics practicum with dunnhumby, contributions to the UC Davis Graduate School of Management as a member of the Director's Student Advisory Council, and a consultancy role at RockYou focusing on yield management and business intelligence. Scott’s earlier career includes positions at RadiumOne in optimization analysis, as well as internships in marketing and sales at Turner Construction and the Occidental College Career Development Center. Scott holds a Master’s of Science in Business Analytics from UC Davis and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Occidental College.
