Dr. Douglas John Walker is an experienced optometric physician currently practicing at Eye Center of Brookings, LLC since July 1999, contributing significantly to community eye health. Dr. Walker has been a member of Vision Source® since January 2001 and served on the Oregon Board of Optometry from April 2015 to March 2021, holding the positions of board member and Past President. Additional roles include optometric physician at Eye Center of Gold Beach until December 2011, President of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association in 2010-2011, and President of the Rotary Club of Brookings-Harbor from June 2010 to June 2011. Dr. Walker holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, along with degrees in Health Services Administration and Community Medicine, and Laboratory Medicine from the University of Alberta. Prior professional experience includes working as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Cross Cancer Institute from 1990 to 1995.
