Phyllis Hartman serves as President and CEO of Hartman Design Group, Inc., a position held since October 1987, where the firm is renowned for its innovative design across various specialties, including multi-family amenities, public spaces, hospitality, and model homes, all aimed at creating beautiful, healthy environments that align with lifestyle trends. In addition, Phyllis Hartman is a board member of VisArts, a non-profit art organization in Montgomery County, Maryland, since October 2017, committed to promoting and supporting local artists and the arts within the community. Phyllis Hartman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Northern Illinois University between 1969 and 1973.
