Stephen Karpin is an experienced executive with a strong background in financial services, particularly in the credit and payment sectors. Currently serving as the Regional President for Asia Pacific at Visa since January 2014, Karpin has held various leadership roles within Visa, including managing operations in Japan and the Southeast Asia markets. Prior experience includes directing CommSec as Managing Director, overseeing the Commonwealth Bank's credit card division, and serving in several key positions at Westpac and Citi, focusing on credit card issuing, marketing, and operations. Karpin's career began with roles in risk management and business analysis, following a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Marketing, and Management from Murdoch University.
