Michael McQuay has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Michael'smost recent position was as the Deputy Program Manager Commander Naval Air at Virtual Computing Technology, starting in August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Production Supervisor at MVG | Microwave Vision Group from February 2021 to August 2021.

From 2016 to 2020, McQuay served as the Maintenance Control Supervisor at HSM 78 in the US Navy. In this role, they were responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating maintenance activities for 14 MH-60R aircraft. Michael also had strong knowledge in weight and balance, avionics troubleshooting, load planning principles, and aircraft characteristics.

McQuay had a long tenure in the US Navy, starting as a US Navy Sailor in 1994 and serving until 2020. During their time in the Navy, they held various roles, including Lean Six Sigma Manager at Commander, Naval Air Force, Pacific from 2014 to 2016, and Calibration Program Manager/CASS Branch Leading Chief at USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) from 2009 to 2014. Michael displayed strong leadership skills, overseeing large teams and managing calibration assets.

Other notable roles include Maintenance Control Chief at HSC-3 from 2006 to 2009, Forward Looking Infra-Red and Laser Lead Supervisor/Quality Assurance Representative/Production Con at USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) Aircraft Carrier from 2003 to 2006, Communications/Navigation Lead Supervisor at Patuxent River Naval Air from 2001 to 2003, and Communications/Navigation Production Supervisor/COMSEC Security Manager/Aeronautical Material Screener at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily from 1997 to 2001.

Throughout their career, McQuay demonstrated expertise in aviation maintenance, process improvement, communication/navigation systems, and personnel management.

Michael McQuay obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, General from Lawrence University from 1991 to 1993. Additionally, they briefly attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1991 for Biology studies. Michael also possesses a Lean Six Sigma certification from the US Navy, which they obtained in February 2015.
