Michael McMahon serves as the Vice President of Finance and Operations at the Virginia Tourism Corporation since March 2021, overseeing procurement, contracting, budgeting, and operations for Virginia's Welcome Centers. Prior to this role, Michael held positions within the Virginia Department of Health, including Acting Deputy Commissioner for Administration and Operations Director for Administration, where responsibilities encompassed leadership and oversight of key administrative offices. Michael's experience also includes serving as Deputy Director of Financial Management, where resource allocation and budget management were primary focuses, and as a Senior Budget Analyst at the Virginia Department of Planning and Budget, providing recommendations on budget and policy development. Michael began their career as a Program Analyst at the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, managing law enforcement grant programs. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Mary Washington.
