Michael Nuara is a Program Director in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center. He has expertise in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the face, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, and neck, as well as the treatment of facial nerve disorders. Additionally, he has experience in microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck, as well as facial gender affirmation surgery. Prior to his current role, Michael served as a Cleft and Microtia Surgeon at MMFC, where he led several surgical teams in Peru and India. He also held positions at UNM Health Sciences and Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, University of Utah, and UCSF Medical Center. Michael obtained his MD from University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery.
