Benjamin Hermerding serves as Chief of Staff for the Virginia House of Delegates since July 2021. Previously held positions include Western Iowa Voter Protection Coordinator for the Iowa Democratic Party and Researcher for Amy for America. Benjamin's experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia Office of the Governor involved serving as Special Assistant for Policy and Records Management and as a Fellow in the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Additional roles include research assistance and internships with various political organizations, including the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. A graduate of the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Benjamin also studied abroad in Jordan through Amideast Education Abroad.
