Caitlin Maxwell has extensive experience in international trade and economic development, currently serving as the VALET Program Manager and International Trade Manager at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership since December 2020. Prior to this role, Caitlin held positions as an International Marketing Specialist at the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services from January 2015 to December 2020, focusing on enhancing international sales for Virginia's agriculture, lumber, and specialty food sectors. Earlier experience includes roles as an International Trade Manager and VALET Program Research Manager at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and as the Manager of Business Advisory Services at the US-China Business Council, where Caitlin successfully recruited companies into membership and advised executives on trade strategies. Caitlin also contributed as a Research Associate, leading research projects and developing government contacts for advocacy. Caitlin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese and Economics from Washington and Lee University, obtained in 2008.
