Mohamed holds the position of Head of Technology & Telecom Investments at Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC). He has 17 years of experience in operations, business development and venture capital in high tech and telecom.
He was previously head of business development and M&A for Andrew Corporation’s Network Solutions Group. He was a principal at Lucent’s New Ventures Group, which launched numerous startups from Bell Labs, including, Celiant, Flarion, Intrado and Lucent Digital Radio among others. He serves on the boards of Virgin Mobile Middle East, Wataniya Telecom Algeria and Tawasul Telecom. Mohamed holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
