Hayley Haggarty is an experienced event management professional with a diverse background in the industry. Currently serving as the Future Astronaut Event Manager at Virgin Galactic since November 2022, Haggarty previously held positions including GM of Events at VentureBeat and Group Event Director at Informa Markets. Haggarty's extensive experience also includes roles at UBM plc and UBM Conferences, where Haggarty progressed from Senior Conference Producer to Event Director. Haggarty began a career in event management after completing a PhD at Cancer Research UK and holds a BSc in Immunology from the University of Glasgow, along with a Project Management PmP qualification from the Institute of Project Management.
