James Farwell is an experienced aviation professional with a background in both flying and clinical research. Currently serving as a Senior First Officer at Virgin Atlantic since June 2022, James has extensive experience flying the B787-900. Prior to this, experience includes roles such as Clinical Research Coordinator at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, where responsibilities involved managing research projects and patient care, and Associate Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University, teaching Air Transport Management. James has also held various positions in operational management, notably as an Operational Resilience Manager at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, and has a rich history in commercial aviation with previous roles at TUI and Ryanair. James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Air Transport with Commercial Pilot Training from Buckinghamshire New University.
