Iikku Mattila started their work experience as a software developer at Eduix Ltd in May 2007 and worked until December 2010. They then joined Vincit in September 2011 as a Passionate Software Poet, a role that is ongoing.

Iikku Mattila completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Tampere between 2002 and 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, which was completed between 2008 and 2010.
