Giorgio Mapelli has extensive work experience in various roles within the manufacturing industry. Giorgio began their career at DSM Composite Resins Italia Srl in 1998 as an Industrial Engineer and later worked as a Project Engineer at Dipharma SpA. From 2006 to 2007, they served as an Engineering Manager at Antibioticos SpA. Mapelli then returned to DSM Composite Resins Italia Srl as a Production Manager and eventually became the Site Manager from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Vinavil SpA (Mapei Group) as the Operations Director. In this role, they oversaw a certified site with over 200 employees and a substantial OpEx budget. Additionally, they managed Vinavil Engineering and Process Engineering departments and third-party services.

Giorgio Mapelli attended Politecnico di Milano from 1990 to 1996, studying Chemical Engineering. Before that, from 1985 to 1990, they completed their Maturità Scientifica at Liceo Scientifico. Additionally, they also attended the Leading for Results program at INSEAD, although the specific duration is not provided.
