Melissa Smoler is an experienced educator and coach with a diverse background in computer science and figure skating. Currently serving as the Computer Science Teacher and Head of the Computer Science Department at Evanston/Skokie School District 65 since August 2017, Melissa has also been coaching figure skating for multiple organizations, including the Winnetka Park District and the Village of Wilmette. Prior teaching roles include Technology Teacher/Coach at Skokie School District 69 and various educational positions in Winnetka Public Schools-District 36 and Arlington Heights School District 25. Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
