Natalie Van Derek is currently a Financial Management Intern at Argonne National Laboratory and serves as a Student Success Peer Mentor at Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition, Natalie has been employed as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at both the Foglia YMCA and the Village of Lake Zurich since June 2022 and May 2020, respectively. Previously, Natalie held the position of Head Lifeguard while also working as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from August 2023 to May 2024. Natalie is pursuing a degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, having completed secondary education at Lake Zurich High School.
