Waringa Matindi serves as the CEO of Village Energy since October 2018, leading a social enterprise that provides customized solar installations to enhance energy use in underserved areas of Uganda. Key responsibilities include fundraising, forming strategic partnerships, and managing a productive team to drive organizational growth. Prior to this role, Waringa held positions as Operations Manager at Play Action International, managing play programs for disadvantaged communities, and as Menstrual Health Education Programme Manager at Irise International, focusing on menstrual hygiene management for marginalized women and girls. Waringa's extensive experience also includes over a decade as Project Officer at ADSOCK, emphasizing capacity building and gender justice advocacy. Waringa's educational background includes notable programs at Columbia Business School, the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship, and the University of California, Berkeley, among others.
