Vihara is a social impact oriented enterprise that drives change through human-centered approaches and systems thinking. We have been doing meaningful work on some of the most pressing challenges in Public Health including COVID Vaccination, Routine Immunization, Gender Equity, Family Planning, and Maternal & Child health over the last two decades. Vihara works with its partners in the complete cycle of innovation: from using ethnographic research to gather behavioral insights, designing innovative solutions to address complex systemic challenges, and creating implementation pathways for ideas to become real and aid uptake of innovations.

The Research and Development team at Vihara Innovation Network conducts in-depth ethnographic research to uncover behavioral insights and inform innovative solutions in public health. By integrating qualitative research methodologies and design thinking principles, the team develops and tests interventions aimed at addressing complex systemic challenges such as COVID vaccination and maternal health. Their work ensures that innovations are not only scientifically sound but also contextually relevant and scalable for lasting social impact.
