Patricia Harris serves as the Interim Director of Veterans Benefits and General Counsel at Vietnam Veterans of America since May 2021. With a robust legal background as a US Army Veteran and Attorney since July 2020, Patricia has extensive experience in criminal and civil litigation, labor and employment law, and regulatory compliance. Previous roles include Assistant Staff Judge Advocate for the US Army Medical Command and the US Army Office of the Surgeon General, where Patricia advised senior leaders on diverse legal matters. Additionally, Patricia has held key positions as Chief of the Administrative Law Section for the US Army Reserve Command and as a National Security Law Advisor in Afghanistan, contributing to capacity building and justice initiatives. Patricia’s educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Campbell University and multiple advanced degrees in military justice and theology.
