Frederic Chaslin is a distinguished composer and conductor with extensive experience in prominent orchestras and opera companies. Currently serving as a composer at Universal Edition AG since June 2020 and as a guest conductor at the Wiener Staatsoper since 1996, Frederic has previously held notable positions, including music director of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra from 2011 to 2020, as well as musical director at The Santa Fe Opera and general music director at Nationaltheater Mannheim. Frederic's early career includes significant roles such as musical director at Opéra de Rouen Normandie and assistant to renowned conductors Pierre Boulez and Daniel Barenboim. Frederic's academic background includes extensive training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse and Universität Mozarteum Salzburg.
