Silviu Ivan is an experienced Senior Process Technologist and Composite Technologist at Victrex, specializing in the development of hybrid moulding technology for thermoplastic materials and optimization of composite panel production processes. With a strong background in research engineering from Element Materials Technology, including a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship, Silviu has expertise in life assessment methodologies for GFRP composites and ultra high-temperature composite materials. Previous experience includes work as an Aerospace Engineer at INCAS, focusing on thermal barrier coatings and testing equipment. Silviu holds a Master's Degree in Aeronautical and Space Structures and a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Constructions from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Physical and Materials Engineering at Brno University of Technology.
