Katonya Gaines, LCSW, M.Ed, currently serves as a School Social Worker at Boston Green Academy, providing individual and group counseling focused on social-emotional development, and actively participating in IEP meetings and collaboration with teachers on behavioral interventions. With extensive experience in the mental health field, Katonya also holds a position as a Senior Counselor at Victory Programs, overseeing staff and delivering evidence-based practices to improve client care. Previously, Katonya worked as a Guidance Counselor at Edco Youth Alternative, an Emergency Service Clinician at Bay Cove Human Services, and a Mental Health Clinician at Commonwealth Mental Health & Wellness, where a range of therapeutic approaches were utilized. Katonya earned a Master of Social Work specialized in Trauma from Salem State University, an M.Ed in School Guidance Counseling from Cambridge College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UMass Boston.
