Marisol Barrero, CPE, serves as the Director of Workplace Safety Applications at the Wearable Robotics Association since April 2022 and the Global Ergonomics Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) since August 2021, focusing on global ergonomic implementations. As a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Automotive Exoskeleton Group (AExG) since March 2018, Marisol promotes the evolution of exoskeletons to enhance quality of life through wearable technologies. Marisol's previous experience includes key roles at Toyota North America, where responsibilities encompassed safety innovations, communication strategies, and ergonomic management across manufacturing operations. Earlier career positions cover roles at the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health, IDEO, and various ergonomics consulting positions. Marisol holds a Master of Science in Design & Environmental Analysis and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from Cornell University.
