Chris Ryan MCIOB, MICW has over 17 years of work experience in various roles within the construction and labor solutions industry. Starting in 2003, they worked as a COSS/Surveyor for VGC Group, where they were responsible for setting out and installation of driver walkways and assisting with setting out for new tracks. In 2004, they worked on the CTRL 310 Dagenham Dock Infrastructure Works, handling the installation of portal bases for new ole. From 2005 to 2006, Chris worked as a Tamper Technician/COSS for New Isg and then as part of the snagging team and project data collection for VGC Group. In 2006, they joined Astley Facades as a Site Supervisor. In 2007, Chris returned to VGC Group and took on various roles, including Contracts Supervisor, Regional Manager South, Operations Director, and Group Director. Their responsibilities included operational management, procurement, business development, and strategic sales, among others. In December 2020, they became the Managing Director of VGC Group, responsible for leading the company and embedding CSR processes into their operational business.

Chris Ryan MCIOB, MICW has a HND in Quantity Surveying from Northumbria University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. Chris also attended Kings Tynemouth from 1987 to 1998, although information about a degree or field of study is not available for this period. In addition to their education, Chris Ryan has obtained several certifications and diplomas, including being a chartered construction manager (MCIOB) from The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in 2020 and being a member of the Institute for Collaborative Working (MICW).
