Linda Adams

Linda, the daughter of a WWII Veteran, has been involved in the Auxiliaries of Veterans organizations for over 20 years — beginning with the American Legion and later joining the VFW as well. While participating in these organizations, she became involved in fundraising efforts for both Veterans and their families. Professionally, Linda served as the County Veterans Service Officer for Hood River, Wasco, Gilliam, and Wheeler counties — advocating for, and assisting, Veterans in obtaining the VA benefits they had earned. Subsequently, she accepted a position with the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs as the Liaison Officer at the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles, where she developed a strong working relationship with key employees at the home as they worked together to meet the needs of Veterans being served by the home. As the Liaison Officer, Linda attended virtually every VCCO board meeting that was held, and her contributions were such that after her retirement from the ODVA, she was asked to join the board as a full voting member.
