Monty Bayer

Monty Bayer currently serves as a Managing Partner of Grosvenor Food & AgTech (GFA) which directly operates, invests in and assists the development of businesses in the food and agriculture sectors. Prior to joining GFA, Bayer was the President and CEO of Actagro LLC. Previously, he served as Corporate Vice President of The Dow Chemical Company overseeing Dow Venture Capital, Global New Business Development and the Technology Licensing platforms. Prior to that, he served in multiple commercial leadership roles for Dow AgroSciences including Vice President of Japan and Korea as well as extensive commercial leadership roles in both the USA and Canada.

Bayer is actively involved in various GFA portfolio company Boards; he has also served on the CropLife America Industry Steering Committee, the Michigan Center of Innovation Board, and has held multiple Board positions through his career as Corporate Vice President at The Dow Chemical Company. He holds a MBA from Queens University and a B.Sc. in Agronomy from the University of Alberta. Bayer was raised on a grains and oilseeds family farm in southern Alberta, Canada.
