Daniel Bowen

Computer Engineer at Verus Research

Daniel Bowen has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Daniel currently works as a Computer Engineer at Verus® Research since July 2020. Previously, they served as a Lead Software Developer at Silent Falcon UAS, a startup specializing in unmanned aerial vehicles. During their tenure at Silent Falcon UAS from January 2014 to March 2020, Daniel was responsible for various tasks such as creating 3D CAD models, integrating autopilot systems, developing internal web apps, writing software for ground control, and working on geospatial data collection and processing. Daniel also developed hardware and embedded software for a DARPA-funded project. Before joining Silent Falcon UAS, Daniel worked as a Software Developer at Sandia National Laboratories from May 2010 to January 2014. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of New Mexico in 2011.

Daniel Bowen attended The University of New Mexico from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. During their time at university, they also pursued minors in Computer Science and Math. From 2013 to 2016, they continued their studies at The University of New Mexico, earning another Bachelor of Science degree, this time in Physics. Additionally, in the years 2013 to 2015, Daniel also pursued a degree in Computer Engineering at the same institution.
