Dhugal Hanton, EMBA, is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the President of the U.S. Division at Vertex Resource Group Ltd. since May 2015, after being recruited as Vice President of U.S. Operations. Prior to this role, Dhugal contributed significantly to Cenovus Energy from December 2005 to May 2015, first as Group Lead for Environmental Services and Compliance and later as Reclamation and Remediation Advisor, effectively managing environmental regulatory approvals and asset retirement obligations. Additionally, Dhugal served as President of the Calgary Chapter of the International Right of Way Association from July 2012 to June 2014. Educational credentials include an Executive MBA from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Augustana University, and a Land Agent Diploma from Olds College.
