Archana Sekar has extensive work experience in the field of research engineering and electrochemistry. Archana currently works at Versogen as a research engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Kansas State University from 2018 to 2023. At Kansas State University, they served as a graduate research assistant, where they designed and characterized electrocatalysts for fuel cells and conducted research on metal oxide deposition. Archana also worked as a graduate teaching assistant, providing instruction and support to senior undergraduate students in analytical chemistry. Archana also has experience as a visiting student research fellow at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research-TCIS and as an undergraduate researcher at Central Electrochemical Research Institute, where they focused on the synthesis and testing of non-precious metal oxides for electrocatalysis. Additionally, they have worked as a project trainee at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research.
Archana Sekar pursued their education in a chronological manner. Archana completed their schooling from Atomic Energy Central School-2 in Kalpakkam, India, from 2001 to 2013. Following that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering from CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute in India, between 2013 and 2017. Currently, they are enrolled in a doctoral program in Analytical Chemistry at Kansas State University, expected to graduate in 2023.
