Joseph Lee, MASc., has a comprehensive work experience in engineering and AI. Joseph currently works as a Machine Learning Engineer at VERSES since June 2023. Prior to this role, they were an R&D Engineer - Computer Vision at SenseWorld from March 2022 to June 2023. In this role, they developed an eye gaze tracker using OpenCV, Mediapipe, and Le Grand's eye model and conducted research on style transfer models. Joseph also designed and built a data collection and analysis model using Detectron2 and Mediapipe. Before that, Joseph worked as a Machine Learning Developer at Nested Minds Network from July 2021 to February 2022. Here, they created a snapshot localization script, improved a movement classifier project, and developed multiprocessing scripts using Python. Joseph started their career as a Computer Vision Engineer at CartSeeker by Eagle Vision Systems from March 2021 to September 2021. In this role, Joseph configured a Linux environment, developed a video recording script, and collected and annotated a custom dataset.

Joseph Lee completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Guelph from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Applied Science (MASc) with a specialization in Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, which they completed in 2021.
