Eric Nowak is an accomplished academic and expert in finance with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as an Independent Expert Member in the Verified Carbon Standard Program Advisory Group at Verra, Nowak focuses on enhancing the Voluntary Carbon Market and achieving significant greenhouse gas emission reductions. As a Professor at SFI Swiss Finance Institute and USI Università della Svizzera italiana, along with leadership positions such as Director of the Institute of Finance and the Center for Climate Finance and Sustainability, Nowak contributes to both education and research in financial management and sustainability. Previous roles include serving as an adjunct professor in Luxembourg, a visiting professor in Singapore, co-founding Aurarius Fund, and holding a visiting scholar position at Stanford University. Nowak's academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen and a habilitation in Business Administration from Goethe University Frankfurt.
