Paul Garnett has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Paul is currently the Founder and CEO of The Vernonburg Group, a consulting firm focused on closing the global broadband connectivity gap. Prior to that, they worked at IX Acquisition Corp. as an Advisor, where they focused on mergers, acquisitions, and business combinations in the technology and telecommunications sectors.

Before their current roles, Paul spent several years at Microsoft, where they held various positions. Paul served as the Senior Director of the Airband Initiative, overseeing the promotion of low-cost wireless broadband solutions. Paul also served as the Director of Technology Policy, where they launched TV white space commercial pilots and established the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance. Additionally, Paul was the Director of Policy and Regulatory, formulating positions and strategies for Microsoft's mobile and entertainment businesses.

Prior to Microsoft, Paul worked at CTIA-The Wireless Association as the Assistant Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Paul advocated for the U.S. mobile wireless industry before federal and state regulators, with a focus on the Federal Communications Commission.

Paul started their career at the Federal Communications Commission as a Legal Counsel and Attorney-Advisor. Paul advised on universal service, numbering, pricing, and industry analysis matters. Paul also represented the Commission at industry events.

Earlier in their career, Paul worked as an Associate at Swidler Berlin and as a Staff Consultant at Price Waterhouse, LLP. At Price Waterhouse, they advised governments and organizations on privatization, regulatory analysis, and restructuring strategies.

Paul Garnett obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Union College, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Later, from 1995 to 1998, they attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where they earned a Juris Doctor degree, specializing in Law.
