Paul Hochanadel serves as the Director of Operations for the Vermont Department of Health, overseeing nearly 600 employees across 14 locations since July 2017. Prior to this role, Paul held positions with the State of Vermont, including Performance Improvement Manager and Director of Strategic Projects for Vermont Health Connect, where responsibilities included ensuring operational efficiency and managing key partnerships. Paul's earlier experience includes serving as a Police Commissioner in Burlington and as the first chair of the Diversity and Equity Committee for the Burlington School District. With a Master's degree in English from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor's degree in Humanities from Seattle University, Paul has a strong academic background complementing a diverse career in public service and program management.
