Heidi Hemmer serves as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Verizon since December 2010, overseeing the development of America's 5G Network and enhancing 4G LTE performance and coverage. Previous roles at Verizon include Vice President of Technology and Vice President of Strategic Global Sourcing & Network Supply Chain, where responsibilities encompassed procurement and inventory management for Network and IT. Additionally, Hemmer directed the successful integration of Alltel into Verizon's network and managed substantial capital plans. Hemmer's career at Verizon Wireless began in June 1999 as Director of Engineering for the New York Metro area, focusing on network building and upgrades. Hemmer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Duke University, earned between 1983 and 1987.
