Ernest Smith, CTP, FPA, APRP, currently serves as Senior Vice President and Treasury Sales Director at Veritex Community Bank since January 2022. Previously, Ernest held the position of Senior Vice President and Regional Treasury Solution Executive at BBVA Compass from November 2009 to December 2021, where an elite sales team was developed that significantly contributed to the bank's transactions and treasury management sales revenue. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President of Treasury Management at Compass Bank, focusing on public funds strategy, and various leadership roles at JP Morgan Chase from 1988 to 2005, specializing in diversity, private banking, and commercial banking services. Ernest holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a BSBA in Finance from the University of Arizona.
