Joonas Pylkkänen is an experienced engineering leader with a career spanning over two decades in the technology sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Verimatrix since February 2019, Pylkkänen previously held the same title at Inside Secure from December 2012 to 2019, where responsibilities included directing R&D for Embedded Security Solutions. Earlier roles include Director of R&D at AuthenTec Inc. and Senior Software Engineer and team leader at Safenet Finland. Joonas also contributed as a Senior Software Specialist at Nokia and its various divisions from 1999 to 2006. Education includes a degree from the Helsinki Institute of Technology, completed from 1994 to 1999.
