Robert Galemmo is a distinguished medicinal chemist and industry leader with over 30 years of experience in drug discovery and development. As Principal at Robert Galemmo Consulting, LLC since 2011, Robert specializes in medicinal chemistry strategies for lead discovery and has extensive expertise in project leadership, intellectual property development, and business development. Current roles include Distinguished Scientist and Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Verge Genomics, President and Co-Founder of ProteXase Therapeutics, and Mentor at the California Life Sciences Association. Previous positions include VP Drug Discovery at Cortexyme, VP Business Development at Antengene Corporation, and Senior Scientist at UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, among others. Robert holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York College at Potsdam.
