David Gowland is an accomplished professional in the fields of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the Director of ESG & Stakeholder Engagement at Veren since May 2024, David also contributes as a Board Member for the Canadian Propane Association. Previously, David held key roles at Crescent Point Energy, including Director of ESG & Stakeholder Engagement and Manager of Government & Stakeholder Relations, and was the Manager of Alberta Operations for the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP). David's experience also includes serving as Chief of Staff for the Government of Alberta in the Alberta Energy and Municipal Affairs sectors. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Dalhousie University and a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary.
