Hugo Savino is a seasoned Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering leadership across multiple companies. Currently at Veracity Industrial Networks since December 2018, Hugo serves as the Software Lead for the back-end development of the Veracity Industrial SDN Controller, focusing on Open vSwitch configuration via OpenFlow Protocol. Previously, Hugo held positions such as Staff Software Engineer IV at Talari, where responsibilities included enhancing the Failsafe SD-Wan products, and Principal Software Engineer at Extreme Networks, leading the design and testing of the Edge Control Protocol. Earlier roles include significant contributions at Spirent Communication, Vitesse Semiconductor, Larscom, Nortel Networks, and Pliant Technology, with expertise in software enhancements, driver development, and protocol design. Hugo holds a degree from the University of Central Florida, completed between 1977 and 1981.
