Jackson Beck is a Senior Program Associate at the Vera Institute of Justice, where efforts focus on improving public safety by reducing police interactions regarding substance use and mental health issues. Jackson has progressed through various roles at Vera, including Program Associate and Program Coordinator, emphasizing community-based care and enhancing police responses to individuals with behavioral health needs. Prior experience includes roles at FAMM as a Communications Intern, contributing to criminal justice reform initiatives, and at United Strategies LLC as a Political Consulting Intern, providing support for fundraising and client communications. Jackson began a political career with internships at the Maine Democratic Party and the District Office of Congresswoman Chellie Pingree.
