Sonia Rude is an experienced sales professional with a strong background in advertising and account management. Currently serving as Sales Director at VentureBeat since July 2021, Sonia previously held the position of Senior Account Executive for the Arts & Entertainment sector at the San Francisco Chronicle, where management of over $4 million in annual advertising revenue was executed for prominent industry partners. Additional roles include leading the Coastal Travel Sales Initiative as an Account Executive, and serving as Sales Manager at East Bay Express during a significant ownership transition. Sonia’s sales expertise also includes a proven track record as top revenue producer at Village Voice Media and experience as a Marketing Consultant for Midweek Inc. Sonia holds a degree from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
