Pete Sommerness is an experienced business executive and advisor. Pete is currently working as an advisor at Vensana Capital. Pete has over 28 years of experience in various industries including healthcare, consulting, and manufacturing.

Pete began their career in 1992 as a Production Process Manager at General Mills. Pete then joined McKinsey & Company in 1998, where they worked their way up to Partner over the next four years. In 2002, Pete left McKinsey to join Boston Scientific as VP and General Manager of their Cardiac Electrophysiology division. Pete spent 13 years at Boston Scientific, during which time they helped grow the division into a successful business unit.

In 2015, Pete left Boston Scientific to join McKinsey & Company as a Partner. Pete worked at McKinsey for three years before leaving to become the Chief Executive Officer of Respicardia in 2018. Pete held this position for four years before joining Vensana Capital as an advisor in 2022.

Throughout their career, Pete has demonstrated their ability to lead and grow businesses in various industries. Their experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to any organization.

Pete Sommerness has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Engineering from Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College. Pete also attended Duluth East High School.
