James Min

Advisor at Vensana Capital

James Min is an advisor at Vensana Capital. Prior to their current position, they were the director of the Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging from January 2013 to October 2019. The Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging is a multi-disciplinary program that aims to develop and validate clinical solutions to improve diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The four (4) major initiatives within the ICI include: (1) HeartHealth, a state-of-the-art cardiovascular disease prevention program, (2) Clinical research, via large-scale multicenter trials and registries, (3) Computational biology, including computational fluid dynamics and solid mechanics; and machine learning; and (4) cardiovascular device development. From January 2011 to December 2013, Min was an associate professor of medicine (cardiology) at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine. James then became a professor of radiology and medicine (cardiology) at Weill Cornell Medical College and the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital from January 2013 to October 2019. Prior to that, Min was an assistant professor of medicine (cardiology) at Weill Cornell Medicine from January 2005 to December 2011.

James Min attended the University of Chicago for their undergraduate studies and majored in medicine. James then went on to attend Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine to earn their Doctor of Medicine degree. After medical school, they completed their residency in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
