Mani Kesavan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mani is currently working at vendi as the Head of AI/ML applications, where they train object recognition and conversational AI models. Mani also analyzes market data for pricing trends.
Before that, Mani worked at Cisco, where they held several roles. As an IT Architect and AI researcher, they focused on language modeling and conversational AI. Mani optimized language models using Bidirectional LSTM and Convolutional sequence embedding. Mani also filed a patent for adaptive data visualizations. Mani also served as a Lead Architect/AI researcher, working on infrastructure operations AI, and as a Cloud Solutions Architect, pioneering lowcode applications in Cisco IT.
Mani has entrepreneurial experience as well. Mani founded and led IoT Vision, an internal startup at Cisco, where they launched various projects related to parking vision, tailgating detection, audience engagement, and people tracking. Mani successfully incubated teams who later won innovation challenges and launched startups externally. As the Founder/Lead Solutions Architect and Data Scientist, Mani launched Ether, a contextual services project, and deployed it on Cisco's collaboration video conferencing devices.
Prior to Cisco, Mani worked at e4e as a Senior Software Engineer, where they built tools and solutions for VOD publishing. Mani also worked at Rapidigm as a Senior Software Engineer, delivering key solutions for Education Management System.
Earlier in their career, Mani worked at Ramco Systems as a Programmer Analyst, where they developed server frameworks and enterprise reporting products. Mani also worked at Sella Synergy India Ltd as a Systems Executive, designing and developing early-stage online banking applications. Additionally, they worked as a Software Consultant at T3 Media and as a Programmer at Software House, where they developed ActiveX tools and controls.
Mani Kesavan completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from the University of Madras, attending from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they obtained a certification in SAFE 4.5 from Scaled Agile, Inc. in November 2017.
