Patrick de Wit is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and management. Currently serving as Managing Director at EMI Twente BV since October 2017, Patrick leads a team focused on innovation and research, overseeing daily operations and strategic direction. In addition, Patrick works as a Sr. Researcher and Project Manager on confidential contract research projects, while also advising on hazardous materials within Veiligheidsregio IJsselland. Previous roles include Advisor for External Safety at Tauw Nederland and a PhD Candidate at the University of Twente, where Patrick earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente and a Bachelor’s degree from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
