Douwe Nikkels is a co-owner at Mts. Nikkels since January 2015, managing a family business in dairy farming. Nikkels has also been actively involved as a volunteer firefighter with Veiligheidsregio IJsselland since October 2013. Previous experience includes roles in sales support and legal specialization in livestock regulations at ForFarmers N.V. from December 2015 to February 2022. Additional experience encompasses public relations at AJK Holten Bathmen, internships at DLV Rundvee Advies b.v., and project work at GD (De Gezondheidsdienst voor Dieren), as well as seasonal positions at CRV. Nikkels holds a degree from CAH Vilentum, completed in 2015, and attended De Waerdenborch from 2003 to 2008.
