Marcel Valk has extensive experience in public safety and firefighting, currently serving as Team Leader for the 24-hour service at Veiligheidsregio Utrecht since January 2006, where responsibilities include managing a team of incident responders. Additionally, Marcel holds positions on the organized consultation and works council within the same organization, representing FNV Overheid members. Other roles include Fire Service Officer and Deputy Team Leader at Veiligheidsregio Gelderland-Zuid, as well as various leadership and operational roles in firefighting throughout the community of Buren. Marcel has significant event management experience as an organizer for the annual Betuws Spektakel pop festival. Educational qualifications include training at the Nederlands Instituut Publieke Veiligheid and the Instituut Fysieke Veiligheid, among other institutions.
