Mattias Gijsbertsen is a highly experienced senior managing consultant at Berenschot, specializing in advising governments and organizations on complex governance matters within the social domain since November 2022. Concurrently, Mattias serves on the supervisory boards of Waterbedrijf Groningen and Veilig Thuis Gelderland-Midden, as well as chairing the board of Mobility Mentoring® Netwerk Nederland, which supports non-profits in addressing financial and social issues. Previous roles include serving as informateur/formateur for the Municipality of Groningen in 2022 and director of the national program against domestic violence and child abuse from 2020 to 2022. Mattias has extensive political experience, having served as a councilor and alderman in Groningen from 2006 to 2020. Educationally, Mattias holds a Master's degree in History from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
